Applegate Florals was borne out of a hobby that became a way of life. I grew up with a grandmother who gardened in a similar fashion, as a hobby that grew and grew. My own gardening passion took off after I moved back to and purchased my family home; my mother previously dubbed the land Applegate Farm, from which our name stems. After growing cut flowers for several years, I had the opportunity to provide and arrange some of the flowers for my younger brother's wedding. I fell in love with the process of choosing, planting, harvesting, and designing with my own flowers. I am inspired by the natural beauty of the landscape around me, and work to infuse the same wildness in my designs. I enjoy experimenting with flora not typically included in event designs, and am continually expanding my perennial garden to broaden my options for design materials.
